Shimazu Aya

I like this singer, from the top 20 Enka hits

This live version is great

sing of good things not bad

I am finally coming out of this snotty cold and sinus infection to go for a walk. Cherry blossoms are officially on here in Yokohama, so I walked down Honmoku Dori to see if those huge trees were blooming. It's a grey day, so colors are muted.

I stopped to sit awhile and saw this child (in red) with his grandma walk by. She was hopping along, holding his hand dancing and singing, "laaa lalala la, laaa la-la-la la" which I recognized as the intro/interlude of the song "Sing". She stopped to take his picture under the blossoms. The whole little scene of them was very nice.

Flashback Shibuya

These are from a few weeks ago, when I went with FoM to meet friends in Shibuya and Shinjuku. We walked to the Meiji Shrine and then had lunch at the Tokyo City Hall.

under the weather

What began as a little allergy like thing has gone full blown upper respiratory illness for me now. I'm taking this medicine SG Pabron, which has ten active ingredients. I had to do a little research before I consented to try it. The funny thing about it is it's a packet of powder, you just dump it into your mouth. Mom likes it because it's easier for her to take than swallowing pills. I don't like tasting the medicine, but I'm managing to choke it down. It reminds me of some of the people in these old mystery programs we watch, taking paper packets of powders.

Onigiri, osuimono clear soup, and pickles

Here's a picture of me with B&R from our FaceTime last weekend
