Kreis Stick Coffee
Having B home for lunch is very nice. Today I decided to use these Japanese instant coffee packets that have been sitting in the bread basket since I don't know when, maybe during my SC months.
From the website (by google translation):
Special Blend, "Three major elements of taste, aroma, flavor is harmonious, I am a mature taste."
B says, "Oooo... "
K mild, B special |

VfR
Mister Sha's rocket club launch yesterday. Can't help but think of Gravity's Rainbow.
"Temperatures, velocities, pressures, fin and body configurations, stabilities and turbulences..."
The Verein für Raumschiffahrt ("VfR", English: Society for Space Travel) was an amateur rocket club in Germany before WWII.

watermelon
Still plenty of roadside watermelon here.
Reminds me of the cowboy bebop episode "mushroom samba"
Ed: Food food food food foody food food food food, do you have any, yes you don't, no you do.
Which makes me hungry for shiitake stir fry...

Wildlife
Hot and grey here, pouring ass rain. Can anyone tell me where that phrase came from? I said it yesterday at work and no one else had ever heard 'pouring ass rain'.
Here are a few pictures I've collected.

splendour of mine own
Summer Splendour is completed!
This pattern was quite easy, the result satisfying. Blocking is magic. I'm giving this to a colleague at work, and beginning another right away in ecru for my mom. Definitely feel close to my mom and grandma doing thread crochet. I was never interested in doilies, except I disdained them when dusting the house as a kid. I remember them sitting together with their magazines, they had the language barrier and the patterns were in different styles (English text based vs. Japanese chart), but they were so good they just looked at their work in progress to figure it out. I realize now what that connection meant to them, having now this feeling of addiction to it, hands cramped up but must finish a row...
