basic lunch

Sometimes we go out for lunch, or make something special. This is our basic lunch at home, just stuff available in the fridge. Rice (or onigiri if it is leftover rice), miso soup and all kinds of pickles.

Today's soup has komatsuna (mustard spinach) and Aburaage (deep fried tofu strips)
Korean style Nori with shoyu for dipping
Picked Takana (mustard green) - store bought
Kimchee - store bought
Kinpira gobo (burdock) and carrot - homemade, delicious!
Pickled kombu seaweed and ginger - store bought
Salted cucumber - homemade
Takuan (pickled daikon) - store bought

Fruit and green tea end the lunch

Finish with crunchy pear, sweet and juicy
