bananas!

we picked bananas this morning!
we cut down the entire stem (on the ground to right of scrunch)
lots of bananas (pile of ripe ones + the bunch)

scrunch preps smaller bunches
( a pineapple top is rooting on the ledge,
noni fruit jar is in the shade in the corner in a bag)

while hacking up banana stems for the compost this little one popped out.
i think this is a coqui...

  2. Are y'all stockpiling fruit in advance of the Apocalypse?

The only time I had native bananas was in the Dominican Republic--they were little red ones and they tasted like vanilla and banana. Damn fine.
Let us know about these, y'all.

The thought strikes me: Rhubarb, banana, something or other...hmmmmm, not likely those two will ever face one another fresh.
