noni ripens

now that homebrew is legal in utah, thought i'd start up (even though i'm not there). sherry already posted pics of noni on the tree (bush?), here they are picked 'hard white' and left to ripen in the kitchen. my goal is traditional fermented noni juice (the "soy sauce" look).

  1. mmmmm....I can hardly wait! Can you eat them, or must they be fermented?

  2. apparently the fruit has a "strong smell and bitter taste". i'll taste it when it gets ripe! purportedly has many medicinal properties...

  3. I'll be the judge of that medicinal potential-we'll need randomization and controls.
